Random thoughts

Just about everyday, new ideas pop into my head. Often times, the ideas are scattered and make little sense until they have time to mature. This girl is nameless at the moment but she may be 6 or 7 years of age, living in a distopian time and still somehow retaining her innocence. What I mean by innocence is this story's government is very top-down and kids have incredibly short childhoods filled of wonder, exploration and use of imagination. I picture this city operating under a permanent dark cloud cover fueled by the depression/apathy of the masses. Kids like this girl still retain a high degree of untarnished hope/optimism since they haven't succumbed to the government hypnosis as of yet. The hope, love and  open minds of these really young kids pose a significant threat to the powers that be as this allows them to have access to a special gift useable only by those with a clear mind and pure heart. (Perish the thought that one person take a stand against corruption.)
